Introduction of Ceramic Foundry Sand
Ceramic foundry sand, also known as ceramsite in China, is an advanced substitute of quartz sand in the casting industry.
Even though quartz sand is widely distributed and easy to obtain and low in cost, it has obvious disadvantages such as large expansion coefficient, low casting precision, serious adhesion to the surface of the casting, and difficulty in cleaning the sticking sand. But the ceramic foundry sand can overcome these disadvantages and improve the quality of castings.
